Walk-in availability is offered every Monday and Wednesday from 9–4 pm. Please reach out to the Cert Department if you need to schedule an alternative time.

The OSPI Professional Certification Department oversees educator certification in Washington state, including issuing, renewing, and managing credentials for teachers, career and technical educators, administrators, educational staff associates, and paraeducators.

The Professional Certification team will be unavailable by phone on September 29 due to an all-staff, customer-service-improvement effort to reduce response times and address existing inquiries. Phones will reopen at 9 am on September 30.
