Afterschool Snack Program
Contact Information
The Afterschool Snack Program is a federally assisted snack program for public schools, nonprofit private schools, and residential child care institutions that participate in the National School Lunch Program. They must provide an afterschool care program that includes education or enrichment actives in a supervised environment.
Local Education Agencies that participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) may choose to operate either the Child and Adult Care Food Program At-Risk Afterschool Meal Program or the NSLP Afterschool Snack Program. Refer to the Comparison of Afterschool Programs Reference Sheet and Flow Chart to determine the best program for your LEA.
