The following letter templates are provided for districts to personalize and send out to families of students participating in state testing.

Before Testing

Testing Letter Template

Introduction to testing letter template. To be provided to families whose students in grades 3-8 and high school will take the Smarter Balanced or WA-AIM tests in ELA and math, and the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS) or WA-AIM science in the spring of 2024. The letter is available in the following languages:

After Testing

Score reports are produced by Washington's testing vendor and are transmitted to districts. If alternate formats (e.g., Braille) of score reports are needed, District Test Coordinators should email Assessment Operations at OSPI with the district request for assistance.

Test Results Letter Template
