School Facilities Programs

Asset Preservation Program (APP)

The APP applies to school districts that received state assistance for new and new -in-lieu school buildings. The program ensures that taxpayer investment in state assisted construction of school facilities is protected through a system of building maintenance.

High-Performance School Buildings Program

State-funded school construction projects, greater than 5,000 square feet, are required by Chapter 39.35 RCW to incorporate high-performance features into their school design and construction.

School District Organization

School district organization mainly includes transfer of district territory, annexations, and consolidations, as well as boundary corrections, district classification, and school district numbering.

Skill Centers Capital Funding

Skill Centers provide students with hands-on learning environments similar to current industries. The number of skill centers has grown to 14 throughout the state.
