The COVID-19 Student Survey was created, in a joint effort between the University of Washington (UW) and OSPI, as a needs assessment to collect information about students' thoughts, feelings, and behaviors during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of the survey are helpful for teachers, school leaders, parents, and community members.
The survey was administered throughout the State of Washington February 1 through 28, 2022, to students in grades 6 to 12. Building-level reports were sent in April 2022 only to school principals and district superintendents. All statewide results from the survey can be found on this page. These results can be used to inform school improvement plans, re-engagement plans, and other student support programming.
