The Washington OER Hub is OSPI’s statewide, online library of free, high‑quality K–12 open educational resources created by and curated for Washington educators.
The Hub supports educators in finding trusted, adaptable resources aligned to Washington learning standards and includes a wide range of openly licensed instructional materials for classroom and school-level use. New content is added regularly. Resources include:
- Unit and lesson‑level supplemental instructional materials
- Full course OER (in select content areas)
- Educator guidance and implementation supports
- Professional learning materials
- Curated learning collections organized by content area or audience
Educators can search by grade level, content area, or Washington state learning standard, and browse curated collections developed and reviewed by Washington educators.
Curated and Standards‑Aligned for Washington
Resources in the Washington OER Hub are reviewed and curated to support alignment with Washington state learning standards and instructional priorities. Many resources are developed through OSPI grants, contracts, and partnerships, and reviewed by Washington educators, OSPI content experts, and educational partners.
Curated OSPI Learning Collections highlight high‑quality materials across content areas and practice areas, helping educators find trusted resources more efficiently. Learning collection resources:
- align to Washington learning standards
- have clear learning objectives with accurate and relevant materials
- support sound teaching practices and have developmentally and culturally appropriate content
- cultivate student interest and engagement

How OSPI Supports the Washington OER Hub
OSPI manages and maintains the Washington OER Hub as part of Washington’s broader OSPI OER Project. This work includes:
- Ongoing review, curation, and improvement of resources
- Development of OER in high‑need content areas
- Collaboration with districts, ESDs, and education partners
- Professional learning and outreach to support effective use of OER
The Washinton OER Hub is one part of OSPI’s statewide effort to support equitable access to high‑quality instructional materials and continuous improvement through open education.
