Each community has unique needs and ambitions for their public schools, and local levies are a valuable way for voters to support their local schools beyond the basics that the state Legislature funds.
The local levy funding data display shows total local levy funding per FTE student, estimated for the 2026 calendar year. The map is colored from lighter shades to darker shades, showing a smaller amount of funding per FTE student to a larger amount, respectively. Hovering over each school district will show the district's FTE enrollment, estimated total local levy funding, and estimated local levy funding per FTE student.
Please note that the purpose of this map is to inform the public of school funding mechanisms in school districts around the state. The values used in this map are estimates and are not intended to be used by district staff to determine allocations or budgets.
The Puget Sound is not seen in this map, because Washington school districts’ legal boundaries are drawn over the Puget Sound.
