2022 - Regional Classified School Employee of the Year - Kara Babst

Kara is a natural helper. She has spent her whole life helping each and every child she has come to know. Working with special needs preschoolers is something that fell into place and fulfilled her innate desire to help children. Kara uses her creative mindset and flexible personality to create a visually complementary environment for the children she works with. With the skills gained from becoming an emergency substitute and her general para educator certification, Kara strives to lead by example with her knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, Right Response, the STAR method, and a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of each student she works with.
