All standards grouped by topic.
NRC Conceptual Framework
The National Research Council (NRC) published A Framework for K-12 Science Education: Practices, Crosscutting Concepts, and Core Ideas, to propose a new approach to K-12 science education, that will capture students' interest and provide them with the necessary foundational knowledge in the field.
Evaluation Tools for NGSS Alignment
- EdReports provides free reviews of published K-12 instructional materials. Their reports offer evidence-rich, comprehensive information about a program's alignment to the standards and other indicators of quality.
- NGSS EQuIP Rubric for Lessons & Units provides criteria to measure how well lessons and units are designed for the NGSS.
- Toward NGSS Design: EQuIP Rubric for Science Detailed Guidance is intended to support those who develop, review, select, or use instructional materials by helping create a common vision of high-quality materials that are designed for the NGSS.
- Critical Features of Instructional Materials Design for Today’s Science Standards describes trends on what to look for when designing or selecting materials to ensure students and teachers have curricula that meet the full intent of the NGSS.
- OSPI Course Design and Instructional Materials are tools to inform instruction and instructional materials review.
