Step 4: Ongoing Education & Support
Once the team reaches Step 4, they have:
- Engaged in collaborative conversations with the family and school team
- Developed an inclusive IEP that is infused with the student’s strengths, preferences, needs, and valued life outcomes
- Developed the Education Day-at-a-Glance to streamline implementation of general education instruction interwoven with the supports and goals in the inclusive IEP
In Step 4, the team ensures ongoing collaboration to implement the inclusive IEP and review and revise the plan when necessary to address changes in the student’s needs and ensure continued progress.
