This piece is about my father when he calls. He has been in and out of my life and I used to think it wasn't affecting me in any way. I was wrong. My mom actually made me realize that I've been walking around with a chip on my shoulder, bringing out this hatred and distrust in men. Self-awareness of what I'm feeling is important because sometimes I don't say it out loud.
