Artist's Name: Sophie Ruth Hyatt
Title: A Boy and his Dog
Medium: Acrylic Paint
Dimensions: 14" x 11"
Inspiration: When I was looking through some old family photos I stumbled across this picture with my little brother and one of our family dogs Kiwi. I thought the picture was really cute, and I knew that I wanted it to be a painting as soon as I saw it. When we were given the task of doing a monochromatic painting in art class, I knew exactly what I wanted to do!

Artist's Name: Sydney Chrisopulus
Title: Bond Between Generations
Medium: Pencil, Charcoal
Dimensions: 11" x 14"
Inspiration: Bonds Between Generations is intended to convey the heartfelt relationships that are shared between a child and their parent. The bond that is formed at birth is kindled in early childhood, and this composition communicates the intense power of this relationship through the form of strong physical connection. The holding of hands symbolizes a loving and trusting relationship between generations.

Artist's Name: Thuan Trung
Title: Ramen Bowl
Medium: Ceramic
Dimensions: 4"x6"x6"
Inspiration: I was hungry one morning and, after receiving this assignment, eating ramen was the first thing that came to mind.

Artist's Name: Valeria Yectzany Telles Lopez
Title: Dios se Lleva los Mejores Niños
Medium: Acrylic & Oil
Dimensions: 15" x 20"
Inspiration: Dios se lleva los mejores niños¨is a phrase that my Grandmother would repeat to her children after the death of her first son. My grandmother loved her son more than life itself; she'd praise la Virgen de Guadalupe for gifting her a son as beautiful as the sky though it was short-lived, he was beautiful yet was frail and passed away when he was seven months old from a cold. I made this piece to show how an event in someone's lifetime can affect generations.

Artist's Name: Vanessa Cisco
Title: Natsu No Owari
Medium: Acrylic & Oil
Dimensions: 43" x 59"
Inspiration: Inspired by the idea of sending a childhood friend in Japan a giant post card, I decided to paint the last day of summer break that my sister and I spent at the beach. The bittersweet feeling that comes as summer has come to an end, and the unsettling feeling that comes as I become a young adult/senior moving forward in life.

Artist's Name: Vincie Jahn
Title: 3:30 AM (My Memory is Hazy)
Medium: Mixed Media
Dimensions: 12" x 12"
Inspiration: Mixing mediums to bring across my memory of my godparents and the land I spent a lot of time on as a kid. Using the charcoal and tile to accentuate the texture and emotion of the memory, not just the action. Creating a story with different parts that are tied together in emotion like a dream.

Artist's Name: Yiselle Vaquera
Title: Baby
Medium: Graphite
Dimensions: 14" x 14"
Inspiration: The drawing is from a special moment when I was three. It holds a special place in my heart, a true core memory. I like the way my bucket hat and my sunglasses help capture the true joy I felt.

Artist's Name: Yoselin Sanchez
Title: OXXO
Medium: Colored Pencil
Dimensions: 11" x 14"
Inspiration: My piece was inspired by a favorite summer memory spent with my family in Puerto Vallarta. I was drawn to this photo of my sister and I walking through an Oxxo gas station and thought the perspective was really interesting. I chose to use colored pencil as the medium because it allows me to have a lot of control when it comes to detail.

Artist's Name: Yudid Camberos-Preciado
Title: Pomegranate
Medium: Acrylic Paint
Dimensions: 8.25" x 4"
Inspiration: My Art piece “the pomegranate” consists of still life and acrylic paint. My inspiration for my art piece came from the Greek word for pomegranate “fruit of death”. Pomegranates are known for presenting fertility, new comings, and abundance. When cutting up a pomegranate it brings much enjoyment, but it is something that cannot be rushed. It requires patience and gentle hands and when done right, you will gain a sweet rewarding fruit. When you rush through to collect your seeds you can create a mess that leaves stains on your hands and surroundings resembling blood. The technique I used, still life, consists of acrylic paint.

Artist's Name: Zoe Monroe Tapia
Title: Son of the Last Inca
Medium: Ceramic, Mixed Media
Inspiration: This sculpture is based on Tupac Amaru III, the son of the last Inca who was the leader of the biggest rebellion in Spanish American history. This sculpture represents his death.
